Bethlehem Kudumba Unit has become the highest-grossing Malayalam film in Kerala, overtaking Vaazha 2’s lifetime tally of Rs. 129.60 crore and setting a new benchmark for the industry. By the end of its third week, the Nivin Pauly–Mamitha Baiju starrer had accumulated Rs. 128.10 crore in Kerala. Based on current projections, it was on track to cross Rs. 130 crore by the close of business today, with industry estimates suggesting a further Rs. 2 crore may be added to the tally. These results come as Malayalam cinema recorded four INDUSTRY HITs in 16 months: Thudarum, Lokah Chapter One: Chandra, Vaazha 2 and Bethlehem Kudumba Unit. All four titles come from different genres, underscoring the breadth of recent releases.
