The Jinxed Road, a short film written and directed by Dr. Mohd Fouzuddin, explores an unsettling journey through a cinematic world shaped by mystery, atmosphere and suspense. Produced by KAB Studios, the film brings together a compact filmmaking team to create a story centred around a road that carries more than its physical destination.

A Story Built Around the Road

At the centre of The Jinxed Road is a simple but intriguing premise: a road that becomes increasingly mysterious as the journey progresses.

Rather than relying solely on conventional storytelling, the film uses its visual environment and atmosphere to establish a sense of uncertainty. The forest road, the vehicle and the surrounding darkness become important elements in creating the film’s cinematic mood.

The result is a short-form story designed to draw the viewer into its world and leave room for interpretation.

The Filmmaker

Dr. Mohd Fouzuddin takes on several key creative responsibilities on the film, serving as its story writer, screenwriter and director, while also appearing in the lead role.

His involvement across multiple stages of the production gives the film a distinct creative authorship, with the narrative, direction and performance coming together around a single cinematic vision.

Behind the Camera

The visual cinematography of The Jinxed Road is handled by Chidathala Naveen (Y.V. Naveen).

The film’s post-production and musical elements are supported by P. Gopinath, who is credited for editing and background music.

The wider creative team includes T. Sreenu as Assistant Director and Sanjay Das as Music Composer.
