Vishwanath And Sons ends theatrical run with Rs 205 crore worldwide box office; Suriya-Mamitha Baiju film dominates Telugu circuits

Vishwanath And Sons has wrapped its theatrical run with a worldwide gross of Rs 205 crore, of which Rs 140 crore came from Indian markets and Rs 65 crore from overseas (USD 6.85 million).

In India, the film performed strongest in the Telugu states, tallying Rs 58.50 crore in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, while Tamil Nadu contributed Rs 55 crore. Within the domestic market, Karnataka added Rs 16.75 crore and Kerala Rs 8.25 crore, with Rest of India contributing about Rs 1.50 crore to the tally, resulting in a domestic total of Rs 140 crore.

Starring Suriya and Mamitha Baiju, Vishwanath And Sons stands as Suriya’s second-highest grosser of all time, after Karuppu.

The production is described as an original Tamil film that performed best in the Telugu states, a notable regional pattern within its overall worldwide performance.

Looking ahead, Suriya’s next release is Scene, directed by Jithu Madhavan, known for his work on Aavesham.
