Yash’s Toxic Finally Gets A Release Date; Set To Arrive In Cinemas On August 26
After multiple postponements, the makers of Toxic have officially announced a new release date. Starring Yash and directed by Geetu Mohandas, the film will now release in theatres worldwide on August 26, 2026. The announcement comes after months of speculation surrounding the film’s release plans.
The wait for Toxic finally seems to be coming to an end. The makers of the Yash-starrer have officially announced that the film will release in cinemas worldwide on August 26, 2026.
The announcement comes a day after the film’s official social media handles shared a cryptic post asking fans, “Got plans for tomorrow?” The post quickly sparked speculation online, with many expecting a major update from the team.
Toxic has had a long release journey. When the project was first announced, it was expected to hit theatres on April 10, 2025. However, delays in production and an extended shooting schedule pushed the release further.
The film features Yash alongside Tara Sutaria, Kiara Advani, Nayanthara and Huma Qureshi. Reports suggest that the film’s shoot continued longer than initially planned before wrapping up in October 2025.
Following the first delay, the film was moved to March 19, 2026. However, the release was postponed once again. The makers reportedly cited geopolitical tensions in the Middle East as one of the reasons behind the decision, considering the importance of overseas markets for Indian films.
The film was later scheduled to release on June 4, 2026, but that date was also pushed as the team continued work on the project.
With the new August 26 release date now locked, Toxic is expected to face competition from Shraddha Kapoor’s Eetha, which is currently scheduled to release on August 28, 2026.
Directed by Geetu Mohandas and headlined by Yash, Toxic remains one of the most talked-about upcoming releases of the year.
