Your film is finished. Now give it an official digital release and a larger audience through DPIFF.
The Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival (DPIFF) Film Release Program invites filmmakers and creators to submit completed short films, documentaries, music videos and animated films for consideration. Approved projects receive an official digital release through the DPIFF YouTube channel, together with promotional visibility and filmmaker recognition.
Release more than a film
A release can become a professional milestone: a public premiere, a stronger portfolio link and a clear way for audiences to discover the people behind the work.
Official premiere
Approved projects can premiere on the official DPIFF YouTube channel.
Audience reach
The programme lists guaranteed 10K+ YouTube views for participating projects.
Promotion
Selected releases may receive social promotion and a dedicated DPIFF blog feature.
Recognition
Creators can receive a recommendation certificate and a golden-frame thumbnail.
What can you submit?
DPIFF currently accepts four project types through the Release Program: short films, documentaries, music videos and animated films. The project should be complete and ready for review, with a working project link and supporting information.
Put your work where audiences, filmmakers and industry-minded viewers can discover it.
How the DPIFF release process works
The application is designed to collect the project information needed for review and promotion. Before opening the form, prepare the following:
- Choose your project category: short film, music video, documentary or animated film.
- Share your project: provide a working link and password where applicable.
- Prepare your creative details: project name, summary, YouTube title, description and a quote for the blog post.
- Upload your visuals: the current form requests a 1280 × 720 thumbnail and 720 × 1280 poster, with a 10 MB file limit and up to four files.
- Complete payment and consent: the current release fee is ₹10,000, and the form includes consent for DPIFF’s release and promotional terms.
What happens after you apply?
After submission and payment, the project is reviewed by the DPIFF team. If approved, it proceeds to an official release on the DPIFF YouTube channel and receives the programme benefits listed on the release page. The page also states that the release fee does not guarantee publication: if a project is not approved, the full fee is refunded.
Filmmakers retain the rights to their project and may upload it on their own YouTube channel before or after releasing it with DPIFF, subject to the programme’s consent and release terms.
