Vikram Bhatt’s ‘Haunted – Echoes Of The Past’ Faces Legal Issue Before Release
Just before its release, Haunted – Echoes Of The Past has now become part of a legal matter. The film is directed by Vikram Bhatt and stars Mimoh Chakraborty in the lead role. The film is currently planned to release on June 12, 2026.
Recently, a public notice connected to the film was published in Complete Cinema magazine. The notice was issued by CA Bharati Manoj Daga, who is handling matters related to Hare Krishna Media Tech Pvt. Ltd.
According to the notice, a case is currently going on at the National Company Law Tribunal (NCLT), Mumbai. The matter is connected to financial and company-related issues under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code.
The notice says that on April 15, 2026, the NCLT asked all connected parties to maintain “status quo.” This basically means no major action related to the matter should move ahead until the court gives further instructions.
However, despite that, the film’s release date and other plans have still been announced publicly. Because of this, the notice has warned distributors, cinema chains, OTT platforms, broadcasters, advertisers and everyone connected to the film not to move ahead with release, streaming, promotion or monetisation until further orders come from the tribunal.
The notice also mentions that if anyone ignores the order and continues with commercial activities related to the film, legal action could happen against them.
At the moment, the makers of the film have not released any official statement about the issue. It is also not yet clear whether this legal matter will affect the film’s theatrical release on June 12 or its future OTT plans.
