Vikram Bhatt’s Upcoming 3D Horror Film Set for June Release, Mimoh Chakraborty Returns After Haunted 3D
Horror films have always found a place in Indian cinema, and when the name Vikram Bhatt comes up, the genre gets attention. Known for directing several horror titles over the years, the filmmaker is now preparing for his next project, which is expected to arrive in cinemas this June.
The untitled film was earlier planned for release in November 2025. It was later moved to January and then February. Now, reports suggest the makers have locked June as the new release window after reviewing the market and schedule.
Mimoh Chakraborty Reunites With Vikram Bhatt
The film also marks the reunion of Mimoh Chakraborty and Vikram Bhatt after Haunted 3D (2011). That film became known for its use of 3D in the horror space and built a following over time.
This new project brings them together again, with Chetna Pande also joining the cast along with other actors. Like Haunted 3D, the upcoming film is also being designed for a 3D theatrical release.
Teaser Response Led to Reshoots
The teaser of the film was released in September. After audience feedback, the team reportedly decided to make changes and return for additional shooting.
Vikram Bhatt had earlier shared that some viewers wanted more real locations instead of heavy background effects. Following that response, the makers shot fresh scenes in actual locations and added them to the film. Around 10 to 12 days of additional filming reportedly took place.
Focus on 3D Experience
Vikram Bhatt has often worked with horror stories that depend on atmosphere, sound and visuals. This time too, the makers appear focused on the theatre experience, especially the 3D format.
The filmmaker had stated that the upcoming film would feature some of the strongest 3D work seen in Indian cinema, showing his confidence in the technical side of the project.
