Varun Dhawan’s Hollywood Debut? Reports Say Actor Is In Talks For An International Film

Reports claim Varun Dhawan is in talks for a Hollywood film. There is no official confirmation from the actor or the makers yet.

Varun Dhawan may soon take his work beyond Hindi cinema. According to recent reports, the actor is in discussions for a Hollywood project with producer Lawrence Kasanoff. While nothing has been announced officially, the reports have created curiosity among fans.

The reports state that conversations about the film have been going on for the last few weeks. If things move ahead, this could become Varun’s first Hollywood film.

What makes this interesting is that Varun had spoken about Hollywood earlier this year. During a podcast conversation, he shared that when he was younger, he wanted to become an actor and had even thought about making his debut in Hollywood one day. He also joked that he wanted to surprise his father, filmmaker David Dhawan.

Varun started his journey in films as an assistant director on My Name Is Khan. After that, he made his acting debut with Student of the Year in 2012. Since then, he has worked in films like Main Tera Hero, Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania, Badlapur, ABCD 2, Dishoom, Badrinath Ki Dulhania, October, JugJugg Jeeyo and Bhediya.

In the last few years, he has also worked on streaming projects. One of them was Citadel: Honey Bunny, where he starred alongside Samantha Ruth Prabhu. At present, Varun is busy with Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, which is set to release on June 5. He was also seen earlier this year in Border 2.

For now, there is no confirmation about the reported Hollywood project. However, if the film goes ahead, it will be a new step in Varun Dhawan’s career after more than a decade in the industry.
