Tips Films and Baweja Studio Join Hands for Jugaadu, Shoot to Begin in Punjab This Month

Around the conversations already happening about Ishaan Khatter and the kind of projects he has been choosing lately, Tips Films and Baweja Studio have now officially announced their second collaboration, Jugaadu. The film will see Ishaan in a comic role alongside Punjabi actress Tania, who is making her Hindi film debut with this project.  

The film had its mahurat ceremony in Mumbai on April 30, 2026, and the team is now preparing to begin the first shooting schedule in Punjab later this month. Along with Ishaan and Tania, the film also features actors like Abhishek Banerjee, Jameel Khan, Vaibhav Raj Gupta, Yamini Dass, Sukhwinder Chahal and Nirmal Rishi.  

What also makes Jugaadu interesting is that it marks the feature film debut of director Palash Vaswani, who has earlier directed shows like Gullak and Bada Naam Karega. His storytelling style has usually connected with audiences because of how simple and rooted it feels, and now he is bringing that space into films.  

For Ishaan, this film comes at a time when his lineup is already getting attention. Recently, he was seen in Homebound, directed by Neeraj Ghaywan, where he shared screen space with Vishal Jethwa and Janhvi Kapoor. Before this, Ishaan has been part of films and shows like Dhadak, Pippa and The Royals. Reports also suggest that the actor has more projects lined up after Jugaadu, including the next season of The Royals.  

Produced by Ramesh Taurani, Pammi Baweja, Harman Baweja and Jaya Taurani, Jugaadu is being positioned as a film that brings together comedy, confusion and everyday situations in a simple way. With the shoot now moving to Punjab, the film has officially gone on floors.
