Shah Rukh Khan’s King Budget Reportedly Touches Rs 350 Crore, Film To Feature Six Action Sequences

Actor Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film King is reportedly being mounted on a budget of around Rs 350 crore, making it one of the highest-budget action films in Indian cinema. Reports state that the amount does not include print, publicity and marketing costs.

According to reports, the film was earlier planned as an action thriller directed by Sujoy Ghosh with Shah Rukh Khan in an extended cameo. At that stage, the reported budget was around Rs 150 crore. Later, Siddharth Anand joined the project as director and the scale of the film was revised.

The film is now expected to feature six large action sequences. Reports claim that three sequences will be shot at real locations while the remaining portions will be filmed on specially designed sets. A part of the reported budget is also being allocated to Shah Rukh Khan’s introduction sequence in the film.

Shah Rukh Khan is also associated with the project as a producer along with Gauri Khan and Mamta Anand. The film is backed by Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures.

Shah Rukh Khan was last seen in Dunki directed by Rajkumar Hirani. In 2023, the actor also appeared in Pathaan and Jawan, both of which crossed major box office figures in India and overseas markets.

Director Siddharth Anand earlier directed films including War, Pathaan and Fighter.

King is expected to release in theatres in 2026.
