Sandip Patel Indian-Origin Filmmaker, Takes SRHP Films To Cannes 2026

Sandip Patel, an Indian-origin filmmaker and producer, proceeds with expanding the work of his production company, SRHP Films, through global projects and collaborations.

Based in Augusta, Georgia, Patel attended the 2026 Cannes Film Festival, where he represented SRHP Films and its upcoming projects. One of the films presented during the festival was Holy Father, directed by Shravan Tiwari and starring Eric Roberts and Mary Lyrette.

The film is part of SRHP Films’ growing slate of projects aimed at reaching audiences across different countries. During Cannes, the project became part of several industry discussions involving filmmakers, producers and distributors.

Another film associated with the banner is Sundown Town, also directed by Shravan Tiwari. Produced by Sandip Patel and Rita Patel, the film was launched in the United States on May 23, 2026, and is expected to be released in 2027.

Apart from promoting upcoming films, Patel also attended industry meetings and networking sessions at Cannes. These conversations focused on film distribution, international partnerships and opportunities for projects that bring together talent from different parts of the world.

As a member of the Indian Motion Picture Producers’ Association (IMPPA), Patel also met industry professionals to discuss ways Indian filmmakers can connect with wider global markets. Digital marketing professional and photographer Ashvin Borad was also part of several interactions during the festival.

Over the years, SRHP Films has been working on projects across different genres and markets. With Holy Father and Sundown Town currently in development, the company is continuing to build its presence in the international film space.
