Rohit Shetty Recreates Iconic ‘Race Car’ Scene With Arshad Warsi And Sharman Joshi On Golmaal 5 Sets

A new video from the sets of Golmaal 5 is bringing back memories of Golmaal: Fun Unlimited. Director Rohit Shetty has recreated the film’s race car scene with Arshad Warsi and Sharman Joshi during the ongoing shoot of the upcoming comedy film.

Rohit Shetty shared a video on Instagram featuring clips from the original 2006 film alongside footage from the current shoot. In the old scene, Arshad Warsi and Sharman Joshi were seen sitting inside a race car. Nearly 20 years later, the actors recreated the same moment on the sets of Golmaal 5.

The video also shows Sharman Joshi once again dressed in a female disguise, similar to his look from the first film. In Golmaal: Fun Unlimited, his character used the disguise to impress Rimi Sen’s character, Nirali. The same setup has now been recreated for the new film.

Sharing the video, Rohit Shetty wrote, “A journey through memory lanes! How old were you when you saw the first Golmaal? We promise you’ll relive those happy days soon… filming in progress.”

The shooting of Golmaal 5 began in Ooty in April 2026. The film brings back Ajay Devgn, Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Shreyas Talpade and Kunal Kemmu. Reports also suggest that Akshay Kumar may join the film in a negative role.

Golmaal 5 is the fifth installment in the Golmaal franchise. The first film, Golmaal: Fun Unlimited, released in 2006, followed by Golmaal Returns, Golmaal 3 and Golmaal Again.

According to reports, the film is expected to release in late 2026 or early 2027.
