Resident Evil posts Rs 8.50 crore in two days.

Resident Evil has grossed around Rs 8.50 crore in India over two days, signaling solid momentum for the franchise reboot at the domestic box office.

Day 1 saw a Rs 3.75 crore gross, including Rs 50 lakh from previews. Day 2 added about Rs 4.70 crore (est.), bringing the two-day total to roughly Rs 8.50 crore in India.

Directed by Zach Cregger, the film features Austin Abrams, Zach Cherry, Kali Reis, among others, and marks the second reboot within the Resident Evil franchise. The film’s upward performance over the weekend would strengthen its position at the Indian box office, becoming a major success.
