Rajkumar Hirani’s Pritam and Pedro To Stream On JioHotstar From July 3

Rajkumar Hirani is entering the streaming space with Pritam and Pedro. The series, directed by Avinash Arun, will release on JioHotstar on July 3, 2026.

JioHotstar has announced Pritam and Pedro, a new series presented by Rajkumar Hirani. The project marks Hirani’s first streaming series after working in films for many years.

The announcement teaser shows an ATM placed on a beach and two men standing near it. The makers have not shared the full story yet, but the teaser introduces the two central characters and the situation connecting them.

The series is directed by Avinash Arun. He is known for projects including Killa, Paatal Lok and Three of Us. According to the makers, the story follows two people who come together through unexpected events.

Alok Jain, Head of Hindi and English Entertainment Business at JioStar, spoke about the collaboration between JioHotstar and Rajkumar Hirani. He said the platform wanted to support stories connected to people, relationships and everyday situations.

Rajkumar Hirani also shared his thoughts about the series. He said he has always liked stories where people with different personalities are brought together. He added that the long-format format gave the team more time to explore the journey of the characters.

Rajkumar Hirani is known for directing Hindi films including Munna Bhai M.B.B.S., Lage Raho Munna Bhai, 3 Idiots, PK, Sanju and Dunki. Over the years, his films have focused on friendship, family, education and social issues.

In recent years, several film directors have moved into streaming projects as OTT platforms continue expanding original Indian content across genres and languages.

Pritam and Pedro will release on JioHotstar on July 3, 2026.
