NTR’s Dragon’s first glimpse introduces a period drama set around the international opium trade

The makers of Dragon have released the first glimpse of the upcoming pan-India film starring NTR. Directed by Prashanth Neel, the film is set against the backdrop of the international opium trade and introduces a world built around conflict, survival and power.

The glimpse gives a first look at NTR’s character and the setting of the film. The project marks the collaboration between NTR, director Prashanth Neel and production houses Mythri Movie Makers and T-Series Films.

The film also stars Rukmini Vasanth alongside Anil Kapoor, Biju Menon, Khushbu Sundar, Guru Somasundaram, Rajeev Kanakala, Ashutosh Rana, Anshuman Pushkar, Sidhant Gupta, Prabhas Srinu, Shatru, Shiva, Bhimal Jeet Oberoi, Ntuthuzelo Prince Grootboom, Aleksandr Mizev and Benedict Paul Garrett.

Prashanth Neel has written and directed the film. He is known for films including KGF Chapter 1, KGF Chapter 2 and Salaar. Music for Dragon has been composed by Ravi Basrur, who has earlier collaborated with Neel on multiple projects.

The film is presented by Gulshan Kumar and Bhushan Kumar under T-Series Films. It is produced by Nandamuri Kalyan Ram, Naveen Yerneni, Y Ravi Shankar and Kosaraju Harikrishna.

Bhushan Kumar has backed several large-scale productions across Hindi and South Indian cinema in recent years. With Dragon, the production team is planning a multilingual theatrical release aimed at audiences across India.

Dragon is scheduled to release in cinemas on June 11, 2027.
