Over the years, NTR has worked with several top directors across different genres, be it from action dramas, commercial entertainers to family stories and period films. Many of these collaborations have gone on to become important films in his career, while others introduced him to new kinds of roles and storytelling.

With the film Dragon set to become his next release, here’s a look at the directors who have worked with NTR and the films they have made together.

S. S. Rajamouli

NTR and S. S. Rajamouli have worked together on Student No. 1, Simhadri, Yamadonga and RRR. Their latest collaboration, RRR, reached audiences across the world, while Naatu Naatu became the first song from an Indian feature film to win the Academy Award for Best Original Song. Their partnership remains one of the most recognised actor-director collaborations in Indian cinema.

Koratala Siva

Koratala Siva directed NTR in Janatha Garage and Devara: Part 1. While Janatha Garage focused on family relationships and social issues, Devara: Part 1 presented NTR in a dual-role action drama set against a coastal backdrop.

Trivikram Srinivas

NTR worked with Trivikram Srinivas in Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava, a film that explored violence, family and redemption. The duo is now set to reunite for NTRTRIVIKRAM, which was announced recently.

V. V. Vinayak

V. V. Vinayak directed NTR in Aadi, Naaga, Samba and Adhurs. These films played a key role in establishing NTR as a commercial star, with a mix of action, comedy and dance.

Puri Jagannadh

NTR and Puri Jagannadh worked together in Andhrawala and Temper. While Andhrawala came early in NTR’s career, Temper became an important film and was later remade in several languages.

Sukumar

In Nannaku Prematho, Sukumar presented NTR in a different role from his earlier films. The story followed a son trying to fulfil his father’s final wish, with the film focusing on strategy, family and revenge.

Prashanth Neel

NTR will next be seen in Dragon, directed by Prashanth Neel. The film marks their first collaboration and is one of NTR’s upcoming theatrical releases. It is currently in production and is expected to release as a pan-India film.
