Nicholas Galitzine Reveals The Intense Physical Transformation Behind He-Man and The Masters of the Universe, Releasing In Cinemas On 5th June 2026
After the Brazil premiere, the entire cast of He-Man and The Masters of the Universe arrived in London for its UK premiere. During media interactions on the red carpet, the lead actor Nicholas Galitzine opened up about the intense physical transformation he went through to play Prince Adam, aka He-Man, in the live-action fantasy epic. He spoke about the demanding training and preparation that went into bringing one of the most iconic superheroes to life on screen.
One of the highlights of his training regime was lifting heavy weights; when asked about it, the actor responded, “So I remember at first we were accumulating the total kilograms that I had lifted throughout the week. One week’s worth of weightlifting was 100,000 kg.” Reflecting on the total weight he lifted during the training period, he jokingly added, “So if you want to multiply however many weeks there are in five months, I’d say that’s a few elephants.”
The actor revealed that the intensity of his preparation became so extreme that the team closely monitored how much weight he was lifting each week. His rigorous training included months of weightlifting, cardio, stunt work, and action choreography to prepare for the live-action adaptation set in the world of Eternia.
Backed by Amazon MGM Studios and directed by Travis Knight, He-Man and The Masters of the Universe stars Nicholas Galitzine as Prince Adam, Camila Mendes as Teela, and Jared Leto as Skeletor, with Man-At-Arms played by Idris Elba. The film also features Alison Brie, Morena Baccarin, and Kristen Wiig as the voice of Roboto. The film aims to bring one of pop culture’s most iconic fantasy worlds back to life for a new generation.
Sony Pictures Releasing International releases He-Man and The Masters of the Universe theatrically on 5th June 2026 in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Malayalam.
