Kartavya OTT Release: Shah Rukh Khan-Saif Ali Khan Film May Arrive on Netflix on May 15

Saif Ali Khan’s upcoming crime drama Kartavya is expected to premiere on Netflix on May 15, 2026, according to reports. The makers have not officially confirmed the date yet.

Saif Ali Khan is set to join Netflix with a new project, and news suggests that Kartavya may release on May 15, 2026.

While there is no official confirmation yet from Netflix or the makers, the reported date has already created interest around the film.

Kartavya was earlier announced as part of Netflix India’s 2026 content slate. Since then, the film has remained one of the most-watched upcoming digital releases.

The project stars Saif Ali Khan in the lead role. The supporting cast includes Rasika Dugal, Sanjay Mishra and Zakir Hussain.

Another name that has drawn attention is journalist Saurabh Dwivedi, who is making his acting debut with the film.

The movie is produced by Shah Rukh Khan’s Red Chillies Entertainment and directed by Pulkit.

Pulkit had earlier directed Bhakshak, which was well-received after its release. Kartavya also marks a reunion between Shah Rukh Khan and Saif Ali Khan after many years on the professional front, as Red Chillies backs the project.

For Saif Ali Khan, the film also brings him back to the police and crime drama space on Netflix. His earlier web series Sacred Games had gained a strong response, where he played Inspector Sartaj Singh.

Apart from Kartavya, Saif also has another Netflix project lined up this year. He will be seen in Hum Hindustani, directed by Rahul Dholakia.

That film is based on India’s first general election, where Saif is expected to play Sukumar Sen.

On the theatrical side, Saif Ali Khan is also part of Haiwaan, directed by Priyadarshan and co-starring Akshay Kumar.

With the reported May 15 release date now in discussion, viewers are waiting for an official announcement from Netflix regarding Kartavya.
