Isha Ambani at Met Gala 2026: Gold saree, gajra and mango art reflect Indian craft
Isha Ambani attended the Met Gala 2026 in a saree-inspired look by Gaurav Gupta. The outfit included gold textiles, jewellery from the family collection and a mango artwork. The look focused on Indian craft and art.
It was a night where fashion met art, and Isha Ambani brought both together on the red carpet of the Met Gala 2026.
She wore a custom outfit by Gaurav Gupta. The look was based on a saree. It was made using gold-woven fabric with hand-painted designs inspired by Pichwai art. The outfit also included a sculptural cape.
The fabric used in the outfit came from artisans linked to Swadesh. The idea was to bring Indian handloom work to a global platform.
One key part of the look was the blouse. It included jewellery from her family collection. The design had diamonds, emeralds, polki and kundan work. The back also had a sarpech linked to the Nizam’s collection. While speaking on the red carpet, Isha shared that some jewellery pieces belonged to her mother, Nita Ambani.
She also carried a mango artwork made by Subodh Gupta. The piece was placed inside a crocheted bag. It connected with the theme of fashion and art.
Her look included a gajra designed by Sourabh Gupta. It was made using paper, copper and brass.
Before the main event, she attended a pre-event gathering in New York where she wore another outfit based on Indian crafts. Over the years, Isha Ambani has worn designs by Rahul Mishra and Anamika Khanna at the Met Gala.
This year again, her look focused on Indian textiles, jewellery and art on an international platform.
