Varun Dhawan’s upcoming film Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai will now release on June 5, 2026. The makers have brought the film back to its original date after Yash postponed Toxic.

The release date of Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai has been confirmed once again. The Varun Dhawan starrer will now arrive in theatres on June 5, 2026, which was the film’s original release date.

The update came after several changes in the release calendar over the past few weeks.

Earlier, the film was shifted from June 5 to June 12 after Yash announced Toxic: A Fairy Tale for Grown-Ups for June 4. Later, the makers moved the film ahead to May 22. Now, the release has returned to June 5.

Varun Dhawan shared the update on social media with a new poster from the film. He also thanked Yash and Maddock Films for helping reset the release calendar.

In his post, Varun confirmed that Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai will now release on June 5 and called it the first film to release after the IPL season.

The timing is expected to give the film a clear theatrical window after the cricket tournament ends.

The release change happened soon after Yash confirmed that Toxic will no longer release on June 4. The film has been postponed to a later date as the makers work on a wider global release plan.

With Toxic moving out of the June slot, Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai has now taken back its earlier date.

The film stars Varun Dhawan, Mrunal Thakur and Pooja Hegde in lead roles. It is directed by David Dhawan.

The project is also being watched closely as it marks another collaboration between Varun Dhawan and David Dhawan, who have delivered several comedy entertainers together.
