Entertainment News: Saif Ali Khan’s New Thriller, Welcome To The Jungle’s Surprise Twist & Salman Khan’s Rumoured Karna: Here’s What’s Making Headlines

From Saif Ali Khan’s reported reunion with Farhan Akhtar after 25 years to Welcome To The Jungle surprising audiences with a post-intermission scene, and fresh buzz around Salman Khan’s possible association with Karna, here’s a look at the biggest Bollywood updates of the day.

Bollywood has been whizzing with several developments today. While Saif Ali Khan is reportedly reuniting with Farhan Akhtar for a new thriller, Welcome To The Jungle has grabbed attention for trying something different inside theatres. Meanwhile, Salman Khan’s name has once again been linked to Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra’s long-delayed film Karna.

According to reports, Saif Ali Khan has signed an untitled thriller backed by Excel Entertainment, marking his reunion with Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani nearly 25 years after Dil Chahta Hai. The film is currently in the writing stage and is expected to go on floors later this year. The thriller is said to explore themes of morality, ethics and society. While Saif has reportedly come on board, the makers are yet to announce the director and the female lead.

Another talking point this week is Welcome To The Jungle. Instead of waiting until the end credits, the makers have added a surprise immediately after the interval. As soon as the “Intermission” card appears on screen, Akshay Kumar addresses the audience with popcorn in his hand and jokes that the team couldn’t decide where to place a particular sequence, so they decided to show it after the interval. The message is followed by the song Kyun featuring Akshay Kumar and Disha Patani. Reports suggest the experiment received a positive response during paid previews, with many viewers returning to their seats instead of stepping out for snacks.

Meanwhile, fresh reports have revived discussions around Karna, the mythological film that was once expected to mark Suriya’s Bollywood debut. The project was shelved during pre-production due to budget concerns. Now, industry buzz suggests director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra is considering reviving the film, with Salman Khan reportedly being considered for the lead role. Reports also claim that Salman and Mehra have been in discussions for a large-scale period film backed by Excel Entertainment. However, neither the actor nor the makers have officially confirmed these reports.

While some of these projects are still in the discussion stage, they have already created plenty of excitement among fans, making them some of the biggest Bollywood talking points today.
