Entertainment News Roundup: Welcome To The Jungle CBFC Cuts, Dhindora 2 Shoot Begins, Love & War Set Tragedy

From CBFC-mandated changes in Welcome To The Jungle to Bhuvan Bam beginning work on Dhindora 2 and a tragic incident on the set of Love & War, here are the latest updates from the entertainment industry.

CBFC Orders Changes In Welcome To The Jungle

The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has cleared Welcome To The Jungle with a U/A 16+ certificate after asking the makers to make 14 modifications.

Several dialogues were either replaced or removed, including references to Kashmir, the army and certain words considered objectionable. The CBFC also asked the makers to remove or replace some bikini shots, hip movement visuals and other scenes described as sensual.

Specific visuals featuring Disha Patani and Jacqueline Fernandez were reportedly modified.

After the changes were implemented, the film received its censor certificate on June 20. The film has a runtime of 2 hours and 44 minutes and is scheduled to release on June 26.

Bhuvan Bam Begins Shooting For Dhindora 2

Bhuvan Bam has officially started filming for Dhindora Season 2.

The content creator and actor shared a behind-the-scenes image from the set along with the message, “Nayi Chunauti, Naya Mehmaan, Naya Dhindora.”

The first season of Dhindora was released on BB Ki Vines’ YouTube channel in 2021 and became one of India’s most successful creator-led series. The second season will now be backed by Netflix India and is expected to focus more on the popular character Titu Mama.

Worker Dies On Love & War Set; Compensation Offered

A 42-year-old carpenter, Chandradhari Yadav, passed away while working on the set of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s upcoming film Love & War at Royal Pump Studio in Mumbai.

Initial reports suggest that the incident may have been caused by an electric shock, though authorities are awaiting the post-mortem report for confirmation.

Following the incident, Bhansali Productions has reportedly offered Rs 40 lakh as compensation to Yadav’s family. Industry bodies including FWICE and FSSAMU have also requested support for the education of his two daughters and employment assistance for his wife.

The incident has once again raised concerns regarding safety standards and long working hours on film sets. Industry representatives have called for stricter safety audits and compliance checks to prevent similar accidents in the future.
