Dhruv Vikram’s DV4 Becomes Jackie, Directed by Kanguva Co-writer Karan Arvind Kumar

Dhruv Vikram’s next project has a definitive title and a confirmed creative team. The film, previously referred to as DV4, is officially titled Jackie, with the actor starring in a commercial entertainer directed by Karan Arvind Kumar, who previously co-wrote the Suriya-starrer Kanguva. The makers announced the title on social media alongside a first-look poster that shows the Aditya Varma actor in a dynamic, brawling pose and carry the line, “Jackie – No Retakes Allowed, will be an out and out commercial entertainer, it’s a promise.”

Karan Arvind Kumar’s involvement marks a continued collaboration with high-octane commercial cinema, and Jackie will feature a musical score by Santhosh Narayanan, with Viki handling cinematography and Jayasuriya serving as editor. Public reporting also notes online chatter about a double-digit OTT deal for Jackie, though the producers have not officially confirmed any streaming agreements. Earlier, there was speculation that Sai Abhyankkar might compose the film’s music, but no formal confirmation has been provided.

Dhruv Vikram’s work front has drawn attention beyond Jackie as well. His most recent lead was in Mari Selvaraj’s sports action drama Bison, which tracks the journey of a Kabaddi aspirant named Kittan and is available for streaming on Netflix. The film’s ensemble includes Pasupathy, Ameer, Lal, Anupama Parameswaran, Rajisha Vijayan, and Azhagam Perumal, among others. Separately, Anupama Parameswaran’s recent comments about a past relationship sparked online speculation about Dhruv, though neither party has confirmed any link.
