DPIFF Exclusive: Jacqueline Fernandez To Lead Her First Horror Film; Shoot Set To Begin This Month

Jacqueline Fernandez is set to star in her first full-fledged horror film. The project will be produced by Khyati Madaan under Not Out Entertainment, with filming scheduled to begin later this month.

Jacqueline Fernandez is stepping into the horror genre with a new film backed by Khyati Madaan’s Not Out Entertainment. The actress has reportedly completed workshops for the project, while a teaser and song have already been filmed.

The film will be produced by Khyati Madaan under the banner of Not Out Entertainment. The production house had earlier announced a horror project featuring Ahan Shetty.

According to sources close to the development, Jacqueline had been looking for a script in the horror space for some time. The upcoming film reportedly combines elements of horror, emotion and music.

A source said, “Jacqueline was keen to explore the horror genre with the right script. What excited her about this film was its blend of horror, emotion and music, making it a complete theatrical experience rather than just a genre film.”

While Jacqueline will lead the project, two male actors have already been finalised for key roles. However, the makers are yet to officially announce the cast and director.

Sources further reveal that a teaser and a song for the film have already been shot. The actors are currently undergoing workshops as part of the preparation process. Principal photography is expected to begin later this month.

The announcement comes at a time when horror films continue to attract audiences globally and in India. Recent releases across the genre have kept interest in horror-based stories strong among moviegoers.

On the work front, Jacqueline was recently seen in Housefull 5. She will next be seen in Welcome to the Jungle, which is scheduled to release on June 26, 2026.

More details about Jacqueline Fernandez’s upcoming horror film are expected to be announced by the makers in the coming weeks.
