Allu Arjun, Basil Joseph meet in Mumbai; Co-Writer Teases Collaboration

Allu Arjun is in Mumbai amid filming for his next project Raaka, directed by Atlee, when fresh speculation surfaced about a potential collaboration with Basil Joseph that could mark his 24th film. In a sequence of pictures shared by co-writer Arun Anirudhan, the filmmaker teased a possible team-up, captioning the post with the cryptic “Iykyk.” The Mumbai sighting adds another layer to the chatter about a Basil Joseph–Allu Arjun partnership, though no official confirmation has been issued.

Speculation around Basil Joseph joining Allu Arjun remains unconfirmed. The project, if materializes, is expected to go on the floor after Arjun completes Raaka and AA23 (LK07) with Lokesh Kanagaraj. For ongoing editorial context, DPIFF newsroom coverage tracks this developing collaboration.

Allu Arjun’s work front is front-loaded with Raaka, described as a technically ambitious project with extensive CGI and VFX work. The first-look poster shows him in a beast-like avatar, and reports suggest he could portray four distinct characters as the story explores parallel universes. Deepika Padukone has been confirmed as the film’s female lead, and Rashmika Mandanna is also tipped for a key role, though formal casting confirmations have not been issued. Sai Abhyankkar is composing the songs and background score for Raaka.

Looking beyond Raaka, Arjun is also expected to reunite with Lokesh Kanagaraj for the tentatively titled AA23 (LK07). The project is not yet on floors, but Lokesh recently conducted a look test, with a behind-the-scenes video anticipated from the makers in the near future.

At this stage, the only confirmed detail is that discussions about a Basil Joseph–Allu Arjun collaboration are ongoing, with neither an official announcement nor a release timeline in place. Readers should stay tuned for any formal confirmation as the productions on Raaka and AA23 advance.
