Akshay Kumar To Play A Bhojpuri Actor In Welcome To The Jungle

Akshay Kumar will be seen as a Bhojpuri actor in Welcome To The Jungle. The film also features a song titled Ghis Ghis Ghis, where he appears as a Bhojpuri item boy.

Akshay Kumar is set to take on a different role in Welcome To The Jungle. According to reports, the actor will play a Bhojpuri film star in the comedy film directed by Ahmed Khan.

The role is expected to be a key part of the film’s comedy track. Akshay will share screen space with Bhojpuri actress Akshara Singh in portions of the film. Sources claim the actor has worked on the dialect, mannerisms and look of the character for the role.

A source associated with the project said that Akshay has fully embraced the character and will be seen in a different screen avatar. The source also revealed that the actor appears in a song titled Ghis Ghis Ghis, where he plays a Bhojpuri item boy.

The sequence is said to be part of a larger storyline that follows the journey of a Bhojpuri actor and the situations that unfold as he aims to enter global cinema. The makers are expected to release the song on May 23 at 12 PM.

Directed by Ahmed Khan and produced by Firoz Nadiadwala, Welcome To The Jungle is the latest instalment in the Welcome franchise. The series began with Welcome, followed by Welcome Back.

The film features a large ensemble cast including Suniel Shetty, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Arshad Warsi, Jackie Shroff, Paresh Rawal, Raveena Tandon and Lara Dutta.

Welcome To The Jungle is scheduled to release in cinemas on June 26.
