Akshay Kumar And Anees Bazmee Come Together Again For A New Comedy; Film Expected To Release In December 2026

There was a time when films like Welcome, Singh Is Kinng and Thank You became regular weekend watches for audiences. The comedy, confusion and family drama in those films created a space of their own, and now that same duo is coming together once again.

Akshay Kumar and director Anees Bazmee are currently working on a new family comedy backed by producer Dil Raju. Reports suggest that a major part of the shoot has already been completed, and the remaining portions are expected to be wrapped up by the end of this month.

Unlike loud action films or heavy drama, this project is reportedly focusing more on family situations, relationships and everyday chaos that slowly turns into comedy. Sources close to the film claim that Akshay Kumar has been enjoying the process of shooting because of the humour and timing that Anees Bazmee brings to scenes.

One of the major tracks in the film is said to revolve around the relationship between a father and son. Reports suggest many comedy moments in the story come from this equation, which the makers are treating as one of the main parts of the film.

The film is reportedly aiming for a theatrical release in December 2026. A Holi song choreographed by Ganesh Acharya has already been shot for the project.

Over the years, Anees Bazmee has directed films like No Entry, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 and Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, while Akshay Kumar continues to balance comedy, action and drama across different projects.

Akshay was recently seen in Bhooth Bangla and also has Welcome To The Jungle lined up for release.
