Aayush Sharma Joins Tamannaah Bhatia In ‘Ragini 3’; Film To Take A Different Route This Time
The cast of Ragini 3 is slowly coming together, and according to recent reports, Aayush Sharma has now joined the film alongside Tamannaah Bhatia. The upcoming project is the latest part of the Ragini franchise backed by Ekta Kapoor.
Reports suggest the film will be directed by Shashanka Ghosh and will also feature Junaid Khan and Nargis Fakhri in important roles.
As per reports, Tamannaah’s character will reportedly share romantic tracks with both Aayush Sharma and Junaid Khan in the film, while Nargis Fakhri is expected to play a police officer. Interestingly, Ragini 3 is said to be taking a slightly different route compared to the earlier films in the franchise. Instead of focusing mainly on the horror and erotic setup the series became known for, the new film is reportedly being planned more as a supernatural thriller with suspense, humour and paranormal elements forming the core of the story.
The makers are reportedly trying to build the film as a “date night horror” experience for audiences, mixing thrills with entertainment in a lighter format.
The project had earlier gone through some delays after director Sahir Raza reportedly exited because of scheduling issues connected to another project. The film was initially expected to begin production earlier this year, but with Shashanka Ghosh now coming on board, reports suggest the project has moved back into active pre-production.
The film is now expected to go on floors around July 2026, with the makers reportedly planning a theatrical release later this year.
Meanwhile, Tamannaah Bhatia also has Vvan: Force of the Forest lined up next opposite Sidharth Malhotra. The film is backed by Balaji Motion Pictures and is expected to release in August 2026.
