5 Tamil and Telugu OTT Releases to Watch This Week: Ravi Teja starrer Irumudi to Rishikanth’s Modha Rathri

Five Tamil and Telugu OTT releases land this week across Netflix, Prime Video, SunNXT and ETVWin, illustrating a busy slate for regional streaming. For DPIFF’s release details, see the DPIFF release database.

Irumudi stars Ravi Teja alongside Priya Bhavani Shankar and Sai Kumar, with Baby Nakshathra and Ajay Ghosh among the supporting cast. The action-drama is directed by Shiva Nirvana and debuts on Netflix on September 18, 2026. The story follows Trinadh, a protective father, whose daughter Manikanta uncovers troubling secrets surrounding a friend and other schoolgirls. When Manikanta goes missing, Trinadh pursues the truth, confronts those responsible and encourages the girls to speak up while honouring his promise to give up drinking.

Dhee 21 – Deep Impact returns as a popular dance reality show. Pradeep Machiraju will host the new season, with Anupama Parameswaran and Jani Master joining the judging panel. The series streams on ETVWin and Netflix beginning September 19, 2026.

Ram and Leela blends sci-fi and romantic comedy. The film stars Rio Raj, Varthika, Chetan, Munishkanth, Malavika Avinash, Deepa Venkat and Ma Ka Pa Anand, with Ramachandrran Kannan directing. It arrives on Prime Video on September 18, 2026. The premise follows Raghuram (Ram), a 30-year-old eager to marry, who meets Leela during a local train journey. Leela’s condition—Ram must never see her after 6:00 PM—drives a sequence of misunderstandings as Ram uncovers a family-linked alien mystery that alters how he views love and fate.

Angikaaram xVyMza6j0Nk is a SunNXT sports action drama featuring Kotapadi J Rajesh, Sindhoori Vishwanath, Viji Venkatesh, Rangaraj Pandey, Mansoor Ali Khan, Rama Rajendar and director Thenpathiyan. The film follows Aathiran Banumathi, a gifted 200-meter runner from a Chennai slum who rises above poverty and discrimination to reach the Commonwealth Games. When his name is unexpectedly removed from the roster, Aathiran refuses to quit and fights to reclaim his opportunity, challenging institutional bias.

Modha Rathri centers Maruthanayagam (Maruthu) and Muthuselvi, two relatives drawn into an arranged marriage under intense family pressure and village traditions. Starring Rishikanth, Anishma Anilkumar, Shelly Kishore, Chetan and Bagavathi Perumal, the comedy-drama is directed by Raja Karuppasamy and streams on Netflix starting September 18, 2026.

Taken together, these titles showcase a varied slate for Tamil-Telugu audiences this week, with premieres rolling out across Netflix, Prime Video and other platforms on September 18 and 19, 2026.
