Is ‘Dhurandhar 2’ Releasing on OTT Soon? A Recent Court Hearing Has Started Speculation

Even after weeks in theatres, Dhurandhar 2 is still pulling audiences and the film’s run at the box office has kept conversations around it going strong. But now, apart from collections and records, people are also waiting to know when the film will finally arrive on OTT.

Interestingly, the makers have still not announced any official streaming date, but a recent court hearing connected to the film has now led to fresh speculation online. 

The issue is reportedly linked to the recreated version of the song Tirchi Topiwale, which appears in the climax of the film as Rang De Laal. Filmmaker Rajiv Rai, whose film Tridev originally featured the song, has raised objections over its usage. Reports suggest the matter reached the Delhi High Court, where discussions around mediation also took place, but things did not move forward.

During the hearing, reports claim the production side mentioned that the film is not expected to arrive on OTT before mid May. While this is still not an official streaming announcement, it has given audiences an idea of the possible timeline. 

There is also buzz that unlike the first film, which streamed on Netflix, the sequel may release on JioHotstar after its theatrical run ends.

Directed by Aditya Dhar, Dhurandhar 2 stars Ranveer Singh alongside Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal and Sanjay Dutt. 

The film has already crossed major box office milestones, and with the OTT conversation now picking up, audiences are clearly not done talking about it yet.
