Golmaal 5 Release Date Confirmed for January 8, 2027. The comedy’s release date has been officially announced, with director Rohit Shetty taking to social media to confirm the date, captioning the update with, “LAUGHTER, FUN, JOY, HAPPINESS AND FAMILY… BAS, NOTHING ELSE.” In the new installment, Ajay Devgn returns as Gopal, and the ensemble will include Arshad Warsi, Tusshar Kapoor, Kunal Kemmu, and Shreyas Talpade. Sharman Joshi is also returning to the franchise, marking his comeback since Golmaal: Fun Unlimited (2006). Earlier, the team had confirmed that Akshay Kumar would join the cast, becoming a new face in the gang. Reports also indicate Priyamani will play a key role, potentially as the antagonist. The Golmaal franchise, directed by Rohit Shetty, began with Golmaal: Fun Unlimited in 2006, followed by Golmaal Returns (2008), Golmaal 3 (2010) and Golmaal Again (2017). The 2017 entry was a supernatural action comedy that was a box office success despite mixed critical reception. A spin-off, Cirkus, starring Ranveer Singh, arrived on December 23, 2022.

Ajay Devgn’s work front includes Drishyam 3: The Conclusion, directed by Abhishek Pathak, scheduled to release on October 2, 2026, serving as the final instalment in the thriller franchise. He is also listed in upcoming projects Ranger and Chauhaan.

Akshay Kumar has recently led in the action thriller Haiwaan, co-starring Saif Ali Khan.
