Haiwaan Box Office: Day 3 collects Rs 2 crore as weekend ends with Rs 6.75 crore total

Haiwaan has emerged as a major disappointment at the box office, with Day 3 adding Rs 2 crore to the tally and bringing the running total to Rs 6.75 crore. After a washout opening, the psychological action thriller has shown a downward trend over the weekend, with numbers slipping each day. Day 1 registered Rs 2.50 crore, Day 2 Rs 2.25 crore, and Day 3 Rs 2 crore, leaving the film with a clearly underwhelming weekend performance.

The film’s trend has been described as atrocious, with the weekend’s figures continuing a downward arc as audiences did not turn out in strength through the three days.

Haiwaan follows Shyam Rane, a visually impaired building maintenance head with heightened senses and remarkable reflexes. His life changes when his friend Pradhan reveals a secret from the past, and a mysterious man named Parshuram Gokhale begins targeting people connected to him. After Pradhan becomes a victim and Shyam is wrongly blamed, he learns that Parshuram is searching for Pradhan’s young daughter, Nandini. Determined to protect her, Shyam races to reach Nandini before Parshuram, while Varsha helps him uncover the truth and prove his innocence.

Apart from Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan, the film also features Boman Irani, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Saiyami Kher, Rajpal Yadav, Sharib Hashmi, Rajesh Sharma, and others in key roles. Mohanlal makes a cameo appearance in the film.

Earlier, films like Selfiee, Mission Raniganj, Auron Mein Kahan Dum Tha, and Maidaan experienced washout openings, but they showed some uptick over the weekend; Haiwaan, by contrast, declined each day, ending the weekend on a weak note. The next official updates will depend on evolving trade data and audience response, with DPIFF continuing to monitor the film’s performance.
