Dare Devil Shooting May Start Late in 2026 as Ajith Kumar’s Next with Adhik Ravichandran Faces Possible Delay

Shooting for Dare Devil, Ajith Kumar’s next collaboration with Adhik Ravichandran, may not begin in October 2026 as previously planned. A Chennai race scheduled for November or December could see AK participate, potentially delaying the start of production, though there is no official confirmation yet. For context on DPIFF’s release timeline, see DPIFF’s release timeline.
The project features Anirudh Ravichander on music and aims to be a family entertainer, marking a reunion after Vedhalam and Vidaamuyarchi. Adhik Ravichandran previously confirmed that the collaboration with Ajith Kumar would continue in this project.
Earlier, Adhik Ravichandran confirmed that his next directorial would reunite him with Ajith Kumar. Shalini Ajithkumar is said to have taken over as producer, backing the project, while Kayadu Lohar could be part of the cast. DPIFF newsroom has previously tracked updates on Ajith’s projects.
Ajith Kumar was last seen in Good Bad Ugly, an action drama that follows AK, a former underworld figure known as Red Dragon. After the birth of his son, he spends 18 years in prison and, upon release, must confront new truths to clear his son’s name.
At this stage, no official update has been issued by the Dare Devil team, and production timelines remain unclear. The production setup reportedly changed from earlier plans, prompting talk of a producer switch and casting rumors, but verification is pending.
DPIFF will continue to monitor developments and report when the team provides an official statement.
