The trailer opens with Meenu walking into a police station to accuse Baapji, a spiritual leader portrayed by Raghubir Yadav. Her decision to speak up quickly places her under intense scrutiny, and the trailer shows bystanders questioning her character and motives rather than zeroing in on the allegations. The pressure to conform to societal expectations underscores the challenges faced by survivors who come forward.

Fatima Sana Shaikh appears as Jasleen Singh Soni, a determined officer who refuses to dismiss the case. As she begins digging into the matter, Jasleen finds herself up against Baapji’s powerful network, and the trailer hints at intimidation and threats aimed at those who challenge the influencer’s reach.

Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub portrays a lawyer who stands firmly behind Meenu, while Ram Kapoor plays Baapji’s attorney, defending the spiritual leader against the accusations. Arjun Mathur is also visible in the expanding coverage around the controversy.

Hunkkaar: The Roar is directed by Karan D Kapadia, Nitya Mehra, and Heeraz Marfatia, and created by Kapadia and Mehra. The production is a collaboration between Birla Studios and Applause Entertainment, in association with Purple Pebble Pictures, with Priyanka Chopra Jonas serving as executive producer. The project has been positioned as a gripping examination of accountability when victims confront figures with social clout.

DPIFF indicates the series will begin streaming on September 25 on JioHotstar. The official trailer is also available for viewing on YouTube. For ongoing DPIFF coverage, stay connected with DPIFF News for updates as the release approaches.
