Aamir Khan Exits Ashneer Grover Biopic Over Creative Differences

Aamir Khan is no longer part of the upcoming biopic on entrepreneur Ashneer Grover, according to reports. The actor was in talks to play Grover but has reportedly stepped away from the project after discussions with the makers over its creative direction did not work out.

The film had been in the news since it was announced, as it was expected to explore Grover’s journey as an entrepreneur, his time as one of the original sharks on Shark Tank India and the controversies surrounding his exit from BharatPe.

While Aamir Khan has exited the project, writer Rahul Mody remains attached to the film, with Shraddha Kapoor also reportedly part of the cast. The makers are now said to be looking for another actor to play Grover.

This would have been another real-life character for Aamir, who has earlier played Mahavir Singh Phogat in Dangal and Mangal Pandey in Mangal Pandey: The Rising. He also played Chandrashekhar Azad in Rang De Basanti.

Aamir’s recent appearances include Sitaare Zameen Par, a special appearance in Coolie and Happy Patel: Khatarnak Jasoos. He is also associated with the upcoming project Batwara 1947 as a producer.

The actor was recently in the news after clarifying that his character Phunsukh Wangdu in 3 Idiots was not based on educator and climate activist Sonam Wangchuk, calling the connection a misconception.
