Ibrahim Ali Khan’s Diler Likely to Release Around Diwali 2026, Report Suggests

Ibrahim Ali Khan’s upcoming film Diler is likely to release around the Diwali 2026 weekend, according to reports. While the makers have not announced the release date yet, reports suggest that Maddock Films has locked a tentative November release window for the film.

According to a report by Filmfare, the makers are planning to release the film around the Diwali holiday period. A source quoted in the report said that the release date is being kept under wraps for now and could be announced around November 6 or a little later.

The Diwali period is usually one of the busiest release windows for Hindi films. By releasing the film around the festival instead of on the festival day, the makers may be looking to avoid a direct clash with other big releases while still benefiting from the holiday audience.

Diler is an important film for Ibrahim Ali Khan as it will be his first theatrical release as a lead actor. His previous films, Nadaaniyan and Sarzameen, were released directly on streaming platforms.

The film is directed by Kunal Deshmukh and was completed in January this year. It has been shot in London, Mumbai and Chandigarh. Ibrahim will be seen playing a marathon runner. Even though the film has been ready for months, the makers reportedly waited for a suitable release window before planning its theatrical release.

The film will also mark the Hindi film debut of Sreeleela. The actress has worked in several South Indian films and will make her Bollywood debut with Diler. She is also expected to appear in another Hindi film with Kartik Aaryan.

Before making his debut as a lead actor, Ibrahim appeared as a child artist in Tashan (2008), where he played the younger version of Saif Ali Khan’s character. He later worked as an assistant director on Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. In 2025, he made his acting debut with the OTT releases Nadaaniyan and Sarzameen.

The makers have not officially confirmed the release date of Diler. An official announcement is expected in the coming months.
