For years, Salman Khan made Eid feel special with his film releases. From Wanted and Dabangg to Bodyguard and Ek Tha Tiger, it almost became a habit for fans to watch his films during the festival. But 2026 felt different. There was no film release this time. Instead, he shared a song, Chand Dekh Lena, from his upcoming film Maatrubhumi: May War Rest in Peace. While it kept him connected with fans, the usual Eid excitement around his film was clearly missing.

It has also been a difficult time for him personally. Reports say he has been dealing with a tough phase, especially with his father’s health not being well. As a result, things on the work front also slowed down a bit. Now, things seem to be getting back on track.

Upcoming Films

Salman is reportedly in talks with producer Dil Raju and director Vamshi Paidipally for a new action film. The plan is to bring him back as a full commercial entertainer, something his fans always enjoy.The film is still being planned, but the team is looking at an Eid 2027 release. Pre-production has already started, and the shoot is expected to begin soon. It will be shot in different parts of the country and will have VFX usage too.

At the same time, Salman is preparing for Maatrubhumi, where he plays Colonel Bikumalla Santosh Babu. The film is expected to be released around Independence Day 2026. So while this Eid did not have a Salman Khan film, it looks like he is getting ready to return to his usual spot next year, and fans might just get that big Eid release again.
