About “Charity Day
“Charity Day,” directed by Ginita Sunaina, unfolds a poignant narrative centered around a young girl’s enthusiasm for philanthropy and her transformative journey. Initially full of excitement and determination to make a difference in the lives of others, the protagonist eagerly engages in various charitable activities. She volunteers at local shelters, organizes donation drives, and spreads awareness about social causes with unwavering passion and optimism.

However, the plot takes a compelling turn when the young girl encounters a significant turning point. This pivotal moment challenges her initial beliefs and ideals about charity and compassion. As she delves deeper into her volunteer work and interacts with those in need, she confronts the complexities and harsh realities of the world around her. Through this introspective journey, she learns valuable lessons about empathy, privilege, and the true meaning of making a meaningful impact on others’ lives.

“Charity Day” by Ginita Sunaina intricately explores themes of empathy, personal growth, and the nuances of altruism. It invites viewers to reflect on the transformative power of empathy and the profound impact of genuine acts of kindness, while navigating the complexities of social issues and individual responsibility in creating positive change.

From the director’s pen
I am really excited to learn that my films have been released in the short film category at the prestigious “Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival”.

The encouragement a filmmaker receives for numerous days of hard work is worth every minute of blood and sweat.

I believe that through the medium of films I can convey socially relevant messages to today’s youth and try to make this world a little bit better .

I thank the jury and the team at Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival for their encouragement and commit to continue making path breaking films towards society upliftment and do my bit for India.

Jai hind !
